They say the best camera in the world is the one you have with you, and seeing as everyone carries a cell phone (mobile phone in the UK), you may have to use that when you don't have anything else with you.

The cameras on phones these days are truly excellent, much better than digital cameras going back just 10 years. They even rival SLR of old, what's more they fit on your pocket, capture 4K or better. I have an iPhone XS and it'll do 4K 60FPS or 1080P 240FPS... seriously cool stuff. Sure a good SLR has a lot more flexability and even though the resolution might not be as high, they will have a better CMOS, meaning a better and clearer overall image. But the best SLR in the world is no good when it's at home and you're out and about and need it all of a sudden.

I made these with my phone, and yes they're animated with Apple's Live capture - which I didn't realise was on.

I made the gifs with an iOS app called Lively and it only costs £2.99. Cheap quick and easy fun :)
